Federal prosecutors have served six grand jury subpoenas to Minnesota officials. The Associate Press (AP) reported that this comes as part of an investigation into whether they obstructed or impeded federal law enforcement during a sweeping immigration operation in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
The focus of the investigation is whether the parties involved are in possible violation of a conspiracy statute. Gov. Tim Walz (featured right) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey were two of the people who were subpoenaed. According to the AP, both of them have been actively vocal in their criticism and denouncement of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency since Renee Good was shot in her car after disobeying ICE commands and gunner her engine toward an agent.
Meanwhile, the AP also reported that the Justice Department is investigating a group of left-wing agitators who disrupted services at a Baptist church in St. Paul on Sunday. The protestors claim that the pastor is the head of the local ICE field office, prompting them to interrupt the service by chanting “ICE out” and “Justice for Renee Good.”
Jan Markell is founder and director of Minneapolis-based Olive Tree Ministries. She believes that the spirit of the Antichrist is permeating the Twin Cities.
"These are people that are determined to destroy. They're anarchists. I would even call it demonic,” says Markell. “It is a level of the demonic because the passion to destroy and to do and say things is something you have to see to believe. You really do."
Markell says that this reminds her of 2020 when Minneapolis was ground zero for George Floyd and the so-called “summer of love.”
"My goodness, we had 1,000 properties destroyed at that time, and I saw that spirit of Antichrist. I'm seeing the identical type of destructive nature of these leftists. So that same spirit of the Antichrist that I saw in 2020, I'm seeing again here in the winter of 2025-2026," says Markell.
